I have experience with all three kinds of site optimisation: On-Page SEO, Off-Page SEO and Technical SEO. I have also carried out Technical SEO work on numerous websites to increase page speed and Google Lighthouse scores. I also utlise GT Metrix to grade each site and identify improvements. Page speed is a huge factor that can determine where your site is placed within the Google organic rankings.
Javascript is usually the main culprit when it comes to slow websites. Deferring and reducing the number of javascript files on the site plays a huge factor into site speed and webpage loading times. When working on a website I will first look at there Javascript files to determine what can be deferred and in somes cases ignored or removed from the site if it is not being used.
